Joseph Thomas is a humor writer and funeral professional living in Memphis, Tennessee with his wife (Natalie), their three kids, and one dog.
He studied English and Mortuary Science in college (different colleges), improv at Improv Nashville in Nashville, and humor and satire writing at the Second City Training Center in Chicago.
Joseph loves to perform in a variety of settings and circumstances like stand-up open mics, stage productions, improv and sketch shows, and the like. He is a gifted speaker and storyteller who brings humor into any and every subject, even traditionally sad ones and the creator/host of Catfish and Comedy (2015-2016)–a short-lived fish fry and comedy show that successfully brought legitimate, touring, professional stand-up comics and improvisers to his tiny hometown of Savannah, Tennessee and made him the topic of discussion at local Ministerial Association meetings for the subsequent months.
With his background in funeral service, he is clearly a blast at parties and an expert at letting people believe they’re the first to ever say, “I bet people are dying to come see you!”
